How to Share a Report or Download a PDF

Updated

Short answer

Open the report and click Share in the toolbar: a link to a read-only copy of the report is created and copied to your clipboard, ready to paste into an email or message. To keep a file, click PDF, choose the AI detection and/or plagiarism results and click Download PDF. Shareable reports and PDF downloads are part of the Student, Personal, Team and Enterprise plans.

Share a report

  1. Open the report — from Reports or My documents in the sidebar, or straight after a check.
  2. Click Share in the toolbar at the top.
  3. When you see Share link copied to clipboard, paste the link wherever you need it.
The report toolbar: Find (Ctrl F), text size A, A+ and A++, Display, a Review / Edit switch, Share, PDF and Rescan.
Share and PDF are in the report toolbar.

The person you send it to doesn’t need an account. They see a read-only page with the document name, word count and scan date, the AI and plagiarism scores, the flagged sentences, each plagiarism source with its address and matched text, and the original text. Each click on Share creates a new link.

Anyone who has the link can open the report, so share it only with people who should see the document. Links don’t expire, and there isn’t a way to switch one off in the app yet — if you need a link disabled, contact us.

Download a PDF report

  1. Open the report and click PDF in the toolbar.
  2. In Download Report, tick AI Detection, Plagiarism Check or both. A section shows Not included in this scan if that check wasn’t run.
  3. Click Download PDF and wait for Report downloaded.

You can also download from the Reports page: open a report’s More options menu (⋯) and choose Download PDF, which includes both sections. While a check is still running, it says Download PDF (not ready).

On the Free plan

The toolbar shows Upgrade instead of PDF, and clicking Share says that shareable reports require a paid plan. See the pricing page for the plans that include them.

Copy link in the Reports menu copies the report’s own address in the app. It only opens for you, signed in to your account — use Share to send a report to someone else.

Frequently asked questions

Does the person I share a report with need an account?
No. A share link opens a read-only copy of the report in any browser, without signing in.
Can I choose what goes into the PDF?
Yes. In the Download Report dialog, tick AI Detection, Plagiarism Check or both. The Download PDF option on the Reports page includes both.
